Piano Description
Commissioned for the 100th anniversary of Steinway & Sons in 1953, this special Steinway Model M Teague Sketch III has received a complete factory restoration through Steinway Restoration Services. Both simple and sophisticated, famed architect Walter Teague’s striking design epitomizes the best of American MCM and is as modern today as it was when debuted in 1953. This piano is new throughout thanks to the extensive year-long restoration, with every detail having been attended to. The tone is rich, clear and pure with a brand-new Steinway action that is lively and a joy to play. The casement is completely refinished and hand-rubbed, with brass ferrule accents on the legs and a commemorative medallion on the fallboard. The unusual pedal lyre adds to the modern design and is all refitted. As with all of our pre-owned pianos, we have detailed the case and fittings after restoration and performed any needed action regulation and voicing. Price includes: Local Delivery, matching bench, 1 in-home tuning & 3 year warranty on the piano. We ship everywhere! Worldwide delivery available for an additional fee.
